Peggy Hernandez

 Restoration for Life Ministry, led by Pastor Debby Young, faithfully serves the homeless each week by providing food, toiletries, clothing, and most importantly, prayer. Through her 'Food for Life' initiative, Pastor Debby demonstrates God's love, offering hope and support to those in need. The church doors are always open to everyone, where they can experience the unconditional love of God and feel welcomed into a caring community.

 My name is Jennifer but my BFF has special privileges, she gets to call me by that other name Geni which was my street name when I was out there in the world  

I first met Debby in my Jr/Senior year of high school. We did a lot of dirt together. Moving forward she got out of the life sooner than I. Didn't make a difference to me she was always my bestie. Such a great friend and mentor not to mention the fact that she went to nursing school got her degree in nursing and moved in to create a Spectacular life for herself. She eventually got out of here and moved on with life. We stayed in communication with one another. 

Anyways during our conversations I discussed the fact that I was tired of my lifestyle and I wanted change. Mind you Debby invited me to come to Atlanta several times and I didn't go, but low and behold that day came, 11/03/2003.

Me going to Atlanta was the best thing I've ever done for myself because that particular move saved my life. I will always cherish my BFF with my whole  and I've managed to stay clean to this very day and I know that the Spiritual guidance that I received from my Bestie would sustain me for life and I just have to say Debby Young you were an inspiration not just for me but for anyone whose had the opportunity to be in your presence you are definitely blessed but now so am I.

Ministries provided me with the support I needed. Mrs. Debby Young welcomed me into her
home and taught me essential life skills, including budgeting and effective management. But her
guidance extended beyond practical matters, fostering a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
Armed with the knowledge and principles she imparted, I was able to overcome my student
debt, secure two jobs, and gain admission to my preferred university. I eventually married my
